Welcome Back! I wanted to share an exciting update that happened while we were on break. Google Forms has now added a Quiz feature!! This means you no longer need to use a 3rd party (like Flubaroo) to grade your assessments built in Google Forms!

Here are some of our favorite google tricks. 1. Dictionary Google can serve as an online dictionary. Just type DEFINE: before the word you need defined. For example, “DEFINE: school” will give you the definition of the word “school.” 2. Get exactly what you are looking for If your searches turn up results that are too general, try using quotation marks to limit your search to the exact term or phrase in the search. 3. This...but not that The subtraction symbol can be used to exclude certain words from your results. If you want info on Titanic the ship, but not the motion picture of the same name, you should search “Titanic -movie”. 4. Find what you can’t remember Can’t remember all the words? No problem! Just substitute asterisks for the words you don’t know, Google will find terms that match the phrase using the asterisks as variables. This is helpful when searching for those song lyrics you only kind of remember. 5. Decisions

Ever wonder if there is a way to finish a Google Form at a later time? Well there is! It's not the most user-friendly for students, but here are the directions! Click here to download or view it in your "Teacher Tech Folder" under Google > Google Forms. This may be one of my favorite features yet! Google Classroom now lets you pose a "question" to your class and tracks who has responded! Students can even respond to other students. What a great discussion forum!
In addition, Google Calendars now connects with Classroom, you can bump posts up to the top of the timeline, and soon, Forms can be directly embedded!! View this article now to read more details! Now is your chance to bring Google Classroom to your class!Until recently, Google Classroom has only allowed you to add students from the same domain, which was not possible for us to do. Last year, we got creative and gave teachers student accounts so they could explore this amazing feature of Google.
