Welcome Back! I wanted to share an exciting update that happened while we were on break. Google Forms has now added a Quiz feature!! This means you no longer need to use a 3rd party (like Flubaroo) to grade your assessments built in Google Forms!
Check out this post to find out the details or come and speak to Amber or Dave and we can help you navagate this exciting new development! Google Forms makes it easy to create, distribute, and analyze surveys. Starting today, you can craft even more effective forms by inserting images into survey questions or adding images as multiple choice or checkbox options in Forms on the web.
For example, a graphic designer might ask a business owner to to pick one of three different logos, pictures of which would be offered as multiple choice answers.

Here are some of our favorite google tricks. 1. Dictionary Google can serve as an online dictionary. Just type DEFINE: before the word you need defined. For example, “DEFINE: school” will give you the definition of the word “school.” 2. Get exactly what you are looking for If your searches turn up results that are too general, try using quotation marks to limit your search to the exact term or phrase in the search. 3. This...but not that The subtraction symbol can be used to exclude certain words from your results. If you want info on Titanic the ship, but not the motion picture of the same name, you should search “Titanic -movie”. 4. Find what you can’t remember Can’t remember all the words? No problem! Just substitute asterisks for the words you don’t know, Google will find terms that match the phrase using the asterisks as variables. This is helpful when searching for those song lyrics you only kind of remember. 5. Decisions

Game show classroom: Comparing Kahoot!, Quizizz, Quizlet Live and QuizalizeIn this article, Matt Miller reviews four different digital tools that can help review and teach in the classroom.
This week Kahoot, the wildly popular quiz game platform, released a new team mode. The new team mode is designed to be used with students who are sharing computers, tablets, or phones. In team mode students arrange themselves in teams around a shared computer or tablet. When you start a Kahoot game you'll now choose "team mode." With team mode selected your students will be prompted to enter a team name and a list of the team members.
After the teams have entered their names you will be ready to start the game. One of the nice features of team mode is that students have time to discuss their answer choices before they are allowed to submit a response. From there the game is played and scored as any other Kahoot game is. Google Classroom has now added a new way to ask questions. Simply choose to post a question and select "multiple choice." You can then enable/disable student viewing of results!
Need a quick timer? Just type in how long you need into the Google search bar and wallah....an instant timer! (Make sure you have your speakers turned on and up!) 30 seconds...... 2 hours.....
